What are mixers?
Well for us, they are a time for students (only Horizon students are allowed to attend), to socialize in a fun, relaxed setting, without parents (although we do have chaperones). Our mixers are held at the school, either in the lower gym or the cafeteria. We play music videos, requested by the students and screened prior, on a screen. P.T.A. sells pizza, soda, juice, water, and other snacks for purchase.
Is there dancing?
Students are welcome to dance, although we would not characterize this as a dance.
We sponsor three mixers a year, one each semester.
Unless otherwise posted mixers are from 2:40 p.m. (right after school) until 4:30 pm.
